Auburn Football Unveils 2026 Schedule with Big SEC Showdowns

Auburn, Ala.—The Tigers, in partnership with the Southeastern Conference, announced the 2026 football schedule on Thursday, featuring marquee visits from LSU and Florida.

Auburn will host six games at Jordan–Hare Stadium: Southern Miss (Sept. 12), Florida (Sept. 19), Vanderbilt (Sept. 26), LSU (Oct. 24), Arkansas (Nov. 7), and Samford (Nov. 21).

The September 12 matchup versus Southern Miss marks the first game at Jordan–Hare for new head coach Alex Golesh. The Florida clash on Sept. 19 marks Auburn’s first meeting with the Gators since 2011.

The Tigers kick off the 2026 season on Sept. 5 by welcoming Baylor to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, marking Auburn’s return to the Aflac Kickoff Game in the city.

Road adventures in the SEC include trips to Tennessee (Oct. 3), Georgia (Oct. 17), Ole Miss (Oct. 31), Mississippi State (Nov. 14), and in-state rival Alabama (Nov. 28), wrapping up the regular season.

2026 brings a milestone for the league, as SEC programs will play nine conference games. Each school will have three annual opponents and the remaining six games will rotate among the other conference members. In addition, teams must schedule at least one premium non-conference game against ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, or Notre Dame, and every SEC opponent will be faced at least once every two years, with home-and-away rotation every four years.

The season-concluding SEC Championship Game is set for Dec. 5, 2026, airing live on ABC.

Auburn has also confirmed several non-conference opponents for the coming years:

  • 2027: Home games versus Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 4) and Austin Peay (Sept. 18), plus a road trip to Notre Dame (Sept. 25).
  • 2028: Home games with Georgia Southern (Sept. 2), Notre Dame (Oct. 28), and North Alabama (Nov. 4).
  • 2029: Season opener at Miami (Fla.) on Sept. 1, with Jacksonville State moving to Sept. 8, 2029, and a game against West Georgia on Oct. 27.
  • 2030: Miami visits Auburn on Aug. 31.
  • 2031: In-state clash with Troy in their first-ever meeting (Sept. 6).
  • 2032: North Alabama returns to Jordan–Hare on Oct. 30.

Note: A previously announced 2027 matchup with Missouri State will not be played as scheduled.

Specific game times and broadcast information for 2026 will be released later.

A new era for Auburn Football is underway. Secure your seats at Jordan–Hare Stadium for 2026 and join head coach Alex Golesh as the Tigers build toward another memorable season.
