He expressed a clear desire to be done with it, saying, "I did this for over twenty years and I don’t want to do it any more." He also indicated that matchmaking duties have shifted to Campbell since his arrival.
This stance is a stark contrast to his public persona as the most influential figure in mixed martial arts. In court, he's a self-proclaimed Luddite longing for simpler times, yet lawyers for the plaintiffs are trying to establish that he and Tracy Long, the VP of Athlete Compliance and Regulatory Affairs responsible for fighter contracts, were indeed communicating about crucial fighter-related business. They've presented instances where Long was in touch with fighters, with no corresponding messages from White being turned over. And this is the part most people miss... While White and Long's testimonies have concluded, the spoliation hearing continues. Judge Boulware, who also presided over a previous $375 million anti-trust settlement in favor of fighters, is still determining if the UFC is intentionally hiding evidence.
